Arseny

Hi, and welcome to my website! My name is Arseny, but in case you can’t remember that, feel free to call me Sam.

Latvian '90s Kid: Growing Up with Spider-Man

I was born in 1990 in the small town of Jekabpils, Latvia. Like many of you, I bet, I grew up watching Spider-Man cartoons, reading comics, watching movies, and pretending to be a superhero (that last part is still in the works 😉).

Channeling Creativity

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an innate enthusiasm for making videos; I even remember stealing my stepdad's good ‘ole quality '90s camera to record myself goofing around, basically creating TikTok content before it even existed, and in the rarer cases, taking my older brother's camera to take funny pictures. Of course, they were funny until he found out about them.

Multifaceted School Life

I studied in a Polish school, hated math, loved English, and collaborated in various entertainment gigs. I tried every sport out there, took theater classes, and was always the funny guy in school. In 2010, I graduated from the International Baltic Academy to pursue hotel management. But after working in a bunch of hotels and smiling for a whopping 12 hours a day at the reception desk, I realized that's not exactly what I wanted to do with my life.

A Journey from Clan Chronicles to Video Editing Mastery

As an avid gamer, I have participated in many gaming communities. Eventually, capitalizing on that gaming craze, I started to record my experiences and share them with my so-called 'clan' members. It was my first real video editing experience, working in the almighty Windows movie maker with 20 hours of render time.

The Evolution of SevenWebheads and the SpiderMan Fandom

Even so, it turned out that I had quite the captivated audience for my productions, be it short gaming montages or an actual scripted gaming movie, known as 'Machinima' back then. In 2011, I created my very first YouTube channel, SevenWebheads, to share my fondness for the beloved superhero Spider-Man whom I grew up with. It started as a collection of montages from cartoon episodes, but as the years went by, it became something bigger… from random cartoon cuts to asking questions to the cast of a brand-new Spider-Man movie to a site with over 100k thousand followers and its own memes and thousands of comments.

It was at this point that I realized what really makes me happy: being myself, sharing my ideas with the world, making people laugh, and uniting to discuss topics, plots, characters, and movies with those who share my same passion.

Creating Happiness

There's a lot of joy and excitement you can take from life; for some, it's all about buying that big yacht or the newest car, and for others, it’s about creating a family or excelling in their careers. For me, though, it's pretty simple -- wake up at 3 am, make a funny video, spark laughter, and read the positive feedback. If I manage to accomplish that, I'm happy. I strongly believe that everyone can succeed if they do what they love.

If you start a YouTube channel or want to become a Twitch streamer with only the thought of possible income, you will most likely fail. But if you spend 10 hours making a 20-second clip, receive one subscriber a month, and are happy about it, you will be successful in the long term.

Staying loyal to your dreams and ideas is important, especially when you are just getting started. There were times when my silly videos or gigs weren't taken seriously by those in my life around me, but you have to believe in yourself.

Enjoy that video you are recording, have fun with the editing, be enthusiastic about uploading it to the world, and stay best buds with your own self. Don't be afraid because, eventually, your creativity will be rewarded. I would love to continue my inspirational rant, but it seems my Roblox Thomas train is derailing the moment I write this. Gotta run and save the day!
